Guttmacher has a new article on its website.
Consensus Grows That Patients’ Needs Ultimately Outweigh Providers’ Right To Refuse Services.
If you do not know, Guttmacher is a pro-abortion organization. One of their goals is to make sure that your child has access to an abortion if she ever wants one.
From their website, a segment of their vision statement: Essential to this vision are societal respect for and protection of personal decision-making with regard to unwanted pregnancies and births . . .
What does that mean? Unwanted births?
Back to the article – Guttmacher and other pro-death advocates would like to FORCE medical providers to offer treatment options that go against their own religious and moral principles. Pharmacies will have to provide birth control medications including the morning after pill. Doctors will have to provide abortions.
To all of you who want Universal Health Care, this is what you will be getting. It will remove your choice of doctors, pharmacists, hospitals, options. AND, it will remove the personal freedom of the providers.
And when that happens, some people won’t become doctors or nurses or pharmacists or X-ray technicians because they won’t allow themselves to be forced to do something they know is WRONG. And, when you need them, they won’t be there for you.
Let Obama win and that is what we will get.

A Priest should protect his flock. And when he does not, the Bishop should.
Father Michael Pfleger is a rogue priest. While Bishops have been publically challenging politicians that support abortion, Father Michael Pfleger has endorsed one.
Besides the racist, sexist, speech that Pfleger gave at Obama’s church, this isn’t the only time the Father Pfleger has stepped out of bounds. Armed and Safe has a story where Pfleger encourages the mob murder of a lawful businessman.
How can Cardinal George continue to allow Pfleger to shepherd his flock. It’s time for Cardinal George to do more than issue a statement. It is time for him to stop Father Pfleger from continuing to harm the Church.
STATEMENT OF FRANCIS CARDINAL GEORGE, O.M.I.,
ARCHBISHOP OF CHICAGO
Friday, May 30, 2008
Statement of Cardinal Francis George concerning remarks of
Fr. Michael Pfleger about Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton during
an address at Trinity United Church of Christ on Sunday May 25, 2008
The Catholic Church does not endorse political candidates. Consequently, while a priest must speak to political issues that are also moral, he may not endorse candidates nor engage in partisan campaigning.
Racial issues are both political and moral and are also highly charged. Words can be differently interpreted, but Fr. Pfleger’s remarks about Senator Clinton are both partisan and amount to a personal attack. I regret that deeply.
To avoid months of turmoil in the church, Fr. Pfleger has promised me that he will not enter into campaigning, will not publicly mention any candidate by name and will abide by the discipline common to all Catholic priests.
Not much of a condemnation. Is it?
