Sarah Palin – Qualified to be President

I’m sure there will be many that find Sarah Palin’s speech to be inflamatory.  And it is.  But, it is a fair response to the sexist assault she and her family has endured for the last week.

She has shown that she has the grit to take on the media and Obama and fight back their baseless assualts.

I especially liked her defense of small town America.  She called out Obama’s two faced assualt on the bible thumping, gun clinchers.  He is an elitist with ZERO experience that qualifies him to be President.

I think one of the best lines in the speech was when Palin said that Obama has written two books, but not a SINGLE PIECE OF IMPORTANT LEGISLATION – ever.

There are a lot of things I don’t like about John McCain.  But, there are a LOT of things I LOVE about Sarah Palin.

I will be voting Republican during this election.

The speech was very immature, filled with one liner shots more reminiscent of slam comedian than someone running for Vice President. I don’t think that reflects on her very well outside of the base that already knows her. Very petty, with the truth seemingly stretched numerous times. In praising herself, she also inadvertantly (presumably) was attacking McCain along with her attacks on Obama and Biden.

I also found it most offensive to use her youngest child, who she is leaving thousands of miles away despite his extraordinary needs, as she campaigns for a job.

All in all, not what I expected, and frankly, I found it very disappointing and difficult to listen to. The hard core will love it…me? Not so much.

Very Immature? Leaving her youngest child while she campaigns? Are you kidding me?

Let’s hear it. What has Obama accomplished? Be specific. And running for president doesn’t count.

  3. Maybe a little inflammatory, but that is just what the home crowd was lookin’ for.

She was cute and spunky, but . . .

The one thing of utmost importance to me is whether or not she intends to continue pouring billions of dollars into the war machine for Iraq. She made it clear, she’s committed to prolong this senseless warfare, which I see as a continuation of the Bush errors. Pretty face; lots of spunk, but in the end — to borrow an expression from Texas – – big hat, no cattle.

Oh, and what’s with all the cowboy hats? There are no cowboys any more, so aren’t they just playing dress-up?

don’t fight anon’s…..it’s part of the Obama plan…….

    well said sarah.

  5. fortyfour says:

Prolong the senseless war? Do you read the papers? The strategy pushed by McCain, adopted by Bush, and approved by the DEMOCRAT LED CONGRESS has worked. More of Iraq is being turned over. Troops may pull out by July – not as losers but with Iraqi’s as victors.

    Doing nothing is not leadership.

    So, what has Obama done?

Voters decide based on the top of the ticket. My question is not whether Palin is qualified, but rather, why would anyone choose a presidednt who is so frail and sickly that it is reasonable to wonder if he will die of natural causes in the next four years? Doesn’t the presidency require stamina and strength? Would a sick president make well-reasoned choices? I would rather have a healthy Palin than an unhealthy McCain, but she isn’t running for president.

  7. fortyfour says:

I agree with you Nancy. Obama is a little puny. Do you think he was breast fed or bottle fed?

You’re grasping Nancy. I’d be more concerned with the qualifications than the age of the candidate. My 11 year old is in excellent health. But, I don’t think that qualifies her.
